"But He answered and said unto them, 'Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" Matthew 15:3
"...Thus ye have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition." Matthew 15:6
"Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold
the tradition of men...and He said unto them, 'Full
well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own
tradition...Making the Word of God of none effect through your
tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye."
Mark 7:7--9, 13.
Christmas is not of God, nor commanded of
God, but the tradition and doctrines of Men. We should be eager to
follow God His own way, and not accept everything the church allows
today, to be in, celebrated and kept. Christmas and every other pagan
practice/holiday is not of God. Holy Days are of God. 1 Corinthians
5:8--it's not done away with.
